Our vision is a just world without svinn. We want a world where the process of bringing forth a commodity, i.e. brought out of the ground, transported, packaged, retailed and sold; to be valued. If we throw one third of all food away we are by definition paying for this loss with the other two thirds. We aim to make economically viable business models for anybody who share our concern.
Our purpose is to help create new solutions to maneuver away from tunnel vision fixed on the expiration date and unmatched needs, and instead create new meaningful opportunities.
These would include jobs in sustainable kitchens, developers for platforms and for meaningful conversations about sustainability.
Achieving our purpose
Our team has mixed backgrounds with different ways of thinking in the kitchen, unique takes on sustainability and an ongoing discussion on how to reach our common goals.
By building our company as a hands-on and workshop-based platform we invite everyone to join us in our quest to end food waste.
Social media is a big building block to spread and gather the knowledge among us all. We are currently working on an online recipe bank and we are regularly sharing blog posts and articles.
VÄRT serves as an unofficial certifier for companies who work closely with sustainability issues and together we can eliminate svinn in throughout their chains. We welcome all beliefs that advance humanistic behavior and are interested in working across genders, age, culture and heritage.
